Who and what exactly is Whiting Community Church?
We are a community of people who love Jesus and seek to grow in our relationship with Him. We have a Baptist heritage, yet are people from a variety of backgrounds other than Baptist.
We have existed as a congregation for over 150 years, yet seek to be fresh in our approach to worship, learning, and ministry.
We are a community of Christian believers who have a rich history, yet look forward to the history that is yet to be written through the power of God in us. We invite you to learn more about us, and to come and worship with us.

Our Mission:
We are an American Baptist congregation built upon the cornerstone of Jesus Christ as Lord,
seeking to glorify God in our everyday lives, welcoming all of God's people
as we grow together in our faith, our knowledge of the Scripture,
and in our commitment to communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ
to our neighborhood, community, nation, and world.

Our vision is to impact the lives of people in our church and community, discovering needs in all areas of life,
